THE PROSPECTUIS
The Green Economy Green Growth, GEGG Association is not for profit and non-political and is catalytic and enabling. More information in the website. www.geggmyanmar.org

Building upon the past five years of extensive activities and in particular the Four Annual GEGG Forums, the Fifth introduces the First Practice Events that highlight the need for Promoting Practices in tandem with Policies.
GEGG 5 introduces the Collaborative 2016 to 2020 PPP-G with PPP, Promoting Policies and Practices for Greening with Public Private Partnerships, with its aligned Five Pillars emphasizing attention on the HOW aspects, in particular integrated approaches to promote greening, resilience, sustainability and smart attributes for economic growth . The PPP-G with PPP will be implemented by a consortium of national and international partners.
The challenges and opportunities of NOW respond to the increasing scientific evidence and unprecedented convergence of global political will, manifested by the COP 21 Paris Agreement, the adoption of the SDGs , the 2015 G 7 Summit in Germany where the Leaders endorsed the decarbonization of the world economy in the course of this century, with the consensus on the imperative need for an expeditious transition towards low-carbon and clean energy to address climate change as well as more efficient and conserving utilization of natural resources for sustainability.
As in past Forums, the GEGG 5 is organized to provide the occasion and catalyst, for the prospects of strengthening partnerships; facilitating constructive, free and frank exchange of views for consideration in improving informed policy formulation, decision making and implementation.

Myanmar, rich in human and natural resources has the opportunity for transformational paradigm change, transiting from polluting, harmful, wasteful use of resources to greening its economic growth for a prosperous, sustainable, resilience, inclusive and equitable future.
